Questions and Answers

What is a Tantric Massage?

A Tantric Massage is a ritual, sensual-spiritual full-body massage with conscious inclusion of the intimate and anal areas, in which sexual energy is revered as sacred life energy and consciously distributed throughout the body. Special features: clear role distribution, intentionlessness paired with conscious guidance, reverence instead of performance, integration of sexuality and spirituality. Possible effects: deep relaxation, joy of life, self-love, heart opening, ecstasy, healing of sexual imprints.

What is the difference between Tantric Massage and Tao Massage?

The Taoist healing massage consists of 53 individual parts with a predetermined, meaningfully structured sequence that is essential for the massage’s effectiveness. In contrast to Tantric Massage, the physical connection to the guest is repeatedly released, giving the guest the opportunity to sense the touch for themselves. The practitioner remains fully present for the guest with heart and soul, even without touch. Through the fixed sequence of the Tao Massage, the guest can quickly adjust to the touches they can expect, allowing even people who are cautious about unfamiliar touch to quickly gain trust and relax into the experience.

Tantric Massage is much freer; releasing contact with the guest is not desired. Overall, it is faster, and the likelihood of the guest entering a trance-like state, which may appear partly dissociative, is significantly lower.

Am I naked during the massage?

At our practice in Murnau, clothing is adapted to the respective type of massage – always with respect for your personal boundaries and within a mindful, appreciative setting.

  • Lomi Lomi Massage During the entire massage, you wear a Lunghi (a traditional Indian cloth) that partially covers you. Traditionally, in LomiLomi the intimate area (Yoni and Lingam) remains untouched and is not massaged. The less the body is covered, the more fluid and intense the massage can feel – we therefore adjust the cloth so that it feels right and comfortable for you.
  • Tantric Massage  Here you are completely naked and we massage your entire body – including mindful, respectful touches in the intimate area (see also our detailed description of the Tantric Massage process).
  • Tao Massage Here, as is usual with Tantric Massage, you are typically completely naked and we massage your entire body – including mindful, respectful touches in the intimate area.
–> As part of the research project on Tao Healing Massage, the intimate area can be omitted.
  • Tantric Sensory Journey You decide for yourself how far you undress – from clothed to naked, exactly as it feels good and safe for you. We accompany you precisely within the framework you set and orient ourselves to your signals.

Important Note on Boundaries We invite you to take your own boundaries seriously and communicate them clearly – this applies in both directions. We offer you a protected space where you can try new things if you wish. At the same time, we also maintain our clear boundaries: mutual touching, erotic play, oral sex or sexual intercourse are not part of our offering and contradict our tantric understanding of massage.

Why are we also naked during Tantric and Tao Massage? This serves to ensure equality and prevents you from feeling exposed or vulnerable – similar to a doctor's visit, where a clothed person faces a naked individual. Nakedness on both sides fosters a sense of meeting at eye level, without hierarchy or shame.

Differences from erotic massages

Tantric massages are sometimes mistaken for erotic massages or grouped together because of the intimacy in the massage setting. Despite some superficial similarities (the receiving and giving persons are generally both unclothed; the intimate area is generally included), there are, however, some fundamental and very significant differences between the certified Tantric Massage TMV® and a typical erotic massage:

  1. Touch without specific intention: The touches within a Tantric Massage TMV® do not primarily serve to gain pleasure, but rather the holistic experience of one's own body and one's own being. This is a completely new experience for many people, which can also bring them into contact with their own emotions, among other things. The massaging person then accompanies them through this attentively and supportively.
  2. Equal inclusion of the entire body: In principle, every part of the receiving person's body receives the same attention. The focus is not solely on touching the intimate area.
  3. One-Sidedness of Touch: The massaging person touches the receiving person but is not touched themselves.
  4. Quality of Touch: The touches generally take place with eyes closed. Unlike erotic massages or in prostitution, the focus is not on visual stimuli or similar, but solely on the quality of the touch and the intensive perception and mindful sensing of the receiving person.
  5. Defined Procedure: A certified Tantric Massage TMV® lasts on average about two hours and follows a sequence (ritual) learned by the massaging person, which also allows for individual adjustments. In this, the massaging person determines the course of the massage. The receiving person can exclude individual elements in advance during the preliminary conversation or spontaneously at any time during the massage. The fulfillment of sexual wishes is not negotiable.
  6. Professional Qualification: Certified Tantric Masseurs or Tantric Masseuses TMV® have completed at least one and a half years of training according to the Training Regulations of the TMV This includes, among other things, several multi-day practical modules, supervisions, and a theoretical and practical final examination.
  7. Authentic Encounter: The person performing the massage presents themselves authentically before, during, and after the massage (within the usual boundaries of any professional service). For example, they do not pretend to feel their own pleasure and do not slip into an erotic role.

Are mutual touches common during the massage?

No.

With us, the roles are clearly defined: As givers, we offer you our full attention and touch – as the receiver, you are free to fully surrender to your sensations and your body.

For many, „receiving only“ is difficult at first because we are used to giving something back immediately. That is precisely why Tantric Massage is a valuable opportunity to experience yourself anew and without performance pressure – often it helps to close your eyes and direct your attention entirely inward.

Should you nevertheless try to touch us out of habit, we must set clear boundaries. This interrupts the flow and prevents us from giving you our full presence – ultimately, it primarily harms your own experience.

A warm welcoming and farewell hug is of course possible and welcome at any time. 😊

What healing effect can Tantric Massage unfold?

Possible effects: Resolution of shame and guilt feelings, better
body awareness, more contact with one’s own emotions, increase in life energy, trauma integration (supportive only), better orgasm experience, heart opening, stress reduction.

Legal disclaimer: We do not make medical or psychotherapeutic diagnoses. The Tantric Massage is a body-oriented
relaxation and consciousness work.
